Highland Lakes Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA)

The Highland Lakes SPCA is located in the Highlans Lakes are of central Texas in
Burnet and Llano counties. They are a non-profit group composed entirely of volunteers
and funded by donations and fund raisers. All the animals are in foster homes since
there is no central facility.

The SPCA is a no kill organization. They DO NOT kill any of the animals unless it
is determined that to euthanize the animal would be the humane thing to do because
of health. The organization works to take animals out of the city facility in Marble Falls, Granite Shoals and Burnet. They also take in animals from people who have found abandoned and unwanted pets. They work with the local law enforcement agencies
on neglect aand abuse cases and help place animals when appropriate.

The SPCA speaks with individuals about getting animals spayed and nuetered, since it is the only means of controling pet overpopulation and ending needless euthanzing of pets.

Spay and Neuter Organization of Presetensburg (SNOOP)

Snoop is an all volunteer group dedicated to helping reduce the overpopulation of homeless animals in Eastern Kentucky. This is accomplished through education and provision of low-cost spay and neuter certificates to low-income households.
